Welcome to the Volleyball Registration System

 

GOALLINE welcomes Volleyball Canada participants! This article will provide information on registration, managing your account and general issues/frequently asked questions.

 

Registration Information:

 

  1. How do I register for an individual event (like a camp, clinic or general player)?

    Go to the registration portal for your club or PTA or Volleyball Canada. Using the available search options or left hand categories, locate the registration form for the event you'd like to register for. Complete the registration form including all required information and submit.
     
  2. How do I purchase a membership?

    Go to the registration portal for your club or PTA. Using the available search options or left hand categories, find a "player," "Coach," or "referee" registration form as appropriate. Most general membership forms will be found in the "Membership" category on the left side of the club or PTA registration portal. Complete the registration form including all required information and submit. Be sure to select the program option that's appropriate for you.

    If you have not purchased a membership but woud like to register for an event that requires a specific membership category, proceed with the registration and, when completing the registration, the applicable membership fees will be added to your total registration.

    If you are a participant on a team, your team contact may purchase and pay for your membership on your behalf. You will receive an email confirmation advising you that you have been registered as part of a team and you'll be provided with an access code to access your registration account.

     
  3. How do I upgrade my membership?

    Go to the registration portal for your club or PTA and either sign in to your registration account or locate the appropriate membership registration form. From your registration account, select the membership form from the Account Home tab and select to Register Now. Complete the registration form including all required information and submit. Be sure to select the appropriate upgraded membership option. The membership fees will be adjusted based on the membership type you already hold.

    For example, if you have already purchased a membership as a recreational player and now you'd like the competitive player membership, the fees paid for the recreational membership will be deducted from the regular price of the competitive membership.


     
  4. How do I register for a team event (like a tournament or league)?

    Go to the registration portal for your club or PTA or Volleyball Canada. Using the available search options or left hand categories, locate the registration form for the event you'd like to register for. Complete the registration form including all required information and submit.

    If you are registering other participants as part of your team, be sure to enter their personal information accurately to avoid creating a duplicate participant as well as to avoid being charged membership fees for participants who have already registered.

     

 

Manage My Account:

 

  1. How do I access my personal registration account?

    From your club or PTA registration site, locate the "Sign In" button. Enter your email address and personal access code.
     
  2. Where do I find my access code?

    If you have already registered for any event through your club or PTA, you should have received a confirmation email containing your personal access code.

    If you have not yet registered for any events, you will not yet have an access code.

    If you have misplaced the email containing your access code, you can retrieve it:
    - Click the "Sign In" button
    - Click the link labelled "Retrieve your access code"
    - Enter your first name, last name and date of birth
    - Click Submit
    - A confirmation message will explain that your access code has been emailed to the email address on file
    - If the system can't locate your profile, verify that you are retrieving your access code from the club or PTA you originally registered with
    - If needed, contact your club or PTA administrator
     
  3. How do I update my personal information?

    Sign in to your registration account and select the Personal Information tab. If there are multiple family members, select the appropriate member to edit. Update information as needed.

    To update first name, last name or date of birth, you must contact your club or PTA administrator.
     
  4. How do I make a payment?

    Sign in to your registration account and select the Transaction tab. Locate the registration for which you'd like to make a payment and click Make a Payment. Follow the on screen prompts to pay either with your personal PayPal account or, pay as a guest through PayPal.
     

Frequently Asked Questions:

 

  1. Why can't I retrieve my access code?

    If your registration has not been completed or if you are a new registrant, you will not have an access code.

    Personal information must be entered exactly as it exists in your participant profile. If there is a discrepancy, the system will not be able to locate your profile.

    If a data entry error was made during your original registration, this may need to be corrected by your Club or PTA administrator before you can retrieve your access code.
     
  2. How do I know what I've registered for?

    From your club or PTA, click the Sign In button and locate the Transaction tab. All registration records related to your participant profile will be listed.
     
  3. I purchased my PTA membership. How do I purchase my Volleyball Canada membership?

    If you have successfully purchased your PTA membership, the Volleyball Canada membership has been purchased as well. These memberships are combined at the point of purchase so there's no need to purchase the PTA and Volleyball Canada memberships separately.

    Your transaction history and receipts should clearly outline the PTA and Volleyball Canada membership categories purchased.
     
  4. Why do I see "This registration form is not open to returning registrants. Please contact your registrar for more information on how to register." when attempting to register?

    This message means that the registration form you're using only allows new participants. If you are already in the club or PTA's new registration system, this form will not allow you to register.

    Each registration form can either allow, require or not allow returning registrants. Club or PTA administrators can control this setting for each event.

    If you feel that this is an error, contact your club or PTA for more information.
     
  5. Why do I need an access code to register?

    If the form you're attempting to register on requires your first name, last name, date of birth and access code and does not provide an option to indicate that you are a new registrant (that doesn't have an access code), it means that the registration form you're using only allows existing participants. If you are not already in the club or PTA's new registration system, this form will not allow you to register.

    Each registration form can either allow, require or not allow returning registrants. Club or PTA administrators can control this setting for each event.

    If you feel that this is an error, contact your club or PTA for more information.

     
  6. How do I know if I'm a returning player?

    If you have recieved a confirmation email for a registration this season (using the new Volleyball Registration System), you should be a returning player. If you have not registered for the current season, you may not be a returning player.
     
  7. Why did I receive so many emails?

    The GOALLINE registration system allows participants to register for events and purchase memberships at the same time. When purchasing a membership, both the PTA and Volleyball Canada portions of your membership are purchased and paid at the same time. Your transaction receipt found in your registration account will combine these separate purchases. If you pay via PayPal either as a guest or through your personal PayPal account, you will receive an email confirmation for each portion of the transaction. For example, registering for league play with your PTA and purchasing a membership will result in 1 registration confirmation from the GOALLINE system and up to 4 transaction confirmation emails from PayPal indicating where portions of your fees were paid (your PTA and Volleyball Canada).
