Regions (may be labelled as Associations, Regions, or Zones) are primarily used by referee organizations, but are a useful tool for managing players and coaches as well. The regions feature allows you to assign your members and administrators to a specific region. This provides more robust search capabilities by allowing you to search your membership based on the basic criteria as well as region.
Managing Regions
Manage regions by going to Master Menu > Scheduling > Manage Regions. If this feature is unavailable to you or if you'd like to know if this feature is right for your organization, contact support at support@goalline.ca.
Facts about Regions
- Regions are applied to Players, Coaches, Venues, Referees and Assignors (Website Administrators)
- Referees have one home region set in their referee profile. Additional regions can be set. Additional regions can be set when editing a referee profile or by the referees in their own control panels (account information).
- When setting venue preferences, only those venues that exist in the referee's home or additional regions will display
- When adding (or editing) a venue, select the appropriate region.
- Assignors are given a region when added as a website admin. They must also have a region set in "set assigning permissions." This will define what referees the assignor can view when doing a referee search as well as what games will show in edit (or display) referee assignments.
- When searching for referees, you can search by referees who belong to a particular region either as the home region or assignable region
