Email announcements are useful for sending important information updates about your organization to parents, players, and other admins.

To send email announcements, email addresses must already exist in the system (Coach, Player, Executive, web admin profiles).
Use the Add-Edit-Delete Executives, Add-Edit-Delete Coaches and Managers (add on), View-Edit Players, Create Association Player, and other tools like this to input email addresses in the email contact fields.
Email announcements can be sent to your entire organization or to people part of a specific team or league. This tool is also used in team specific control panels; the procedure is identical.
How to Send Email Announcements
- Click "Send Email Announcement"
- Enter a title
- The title field will be the subject line of your email.
- Enter the body of the email In the description box
- If you are copying and pasting from another document or program you should first paste the text in "notepad" on your computer to remove any hidden code before pasting the text into the email description box. If you do not do this your email may have strange coding in it when sent that is not recognizable to your recipient list.
- Click the "image" button to attach an image
- Click the "browse" server button to see the list of photos already in the system
- To add new files to the list, click "Browse"
- This will open an upload window that pulls files from your hard drive.
- Select the image you want to use and click open
- The file will be populated in the Browse field.
- Click "upload", or select a file from the list
- The image will appear in the Preview box only if you add a link to the photo. Images are surrounded by a blue border (system default).
- To remove the blue border, enter "0" in the border field
- Click OK to upload the photo
- Click the boxes that include the desired recipients. You will notice that there is a box for players, parents and coaching staff and a drop down list for all coaching staff or you can select which coaching staff you wish to send the email to.
- You can click the box for email subscription list which is the persons who have signed up to receive the email announcements from the public side of the site.
- The next box is for website administrators where you can select all or select the website admin person you want the email announcement to go to. Under that there is a referee box if you want the email to go to them.
- Under this there are the multiple options where you have to select and again identify the assigned players and parents, the unassigned players and parents and subscription list and this is where the league or team is selected.
- The next box is to select the executive(s) or selected "all" to select the executives you want to message to go to. The last box is if you want to post the email message to the Referee Notice Board. (Ref system only)
- Click save to send the email announcement
- When you send the email announcement a list of players or selected persons that do not have email addresses will be displayed.
- there is an email filter so if the same email address is used more than once the message will only be sent once
Note:If an email address is listed in one place in the website in all lower case letters and in another place in the website using upper case letters the system recognizes that as two unique email addresses and sends to both addresses.

Banner images have been disabled for all of our organizations to save on sending and loading times of emails sent from the system.
If you do appear not to be receiving email announcements from the system and you are sure that you should be, please check that the email is not being delivered into either you email clients spam/junk folder or your spam/junk mail folder in your webmail interface.
Additionally, to help ensure delivery we also recommend adding donotreply@goalline.ca to your email safe senders list.
