Add-Edit-Delete Ticker Announcements

This video explains how to use the Add Edit Delete Ticker Announcement tool in your GOALLINE powered website:

 

The scrolling ticker feature is a great way to get important notices out fast to everyone who views the site. The scrolling ticker can only be accessed in the "Master Menu" - "Communication Tab".

Creating a Ticker Announcement

1. Go to "Master Menu" - "Communication Tab" - "Ticker Announcements".
2. Enter the title of your announcement.
3. Enter the date. The date field is the date it's posted, defaulted to today's date.
4. Enter your announcement details.
5. Both the title and the announcement details appear in the scrolling text; they are separated by a hyphen so no need to add one.
6. Click "Save" to create your announcement.
7. Click "View Website" to see your ticker live.

There is no limit to the number of ticker announcements that can be created.

Editing or Deleting a Ticker Announcement

1. Go to "Master Menu" - "Communication Tab" - "Ticker Announcements".
2. The tickers are listed in order of most recently added/last modified.
3. Click inside the text box and make your changes, then click "EDIT".
4. To de-activate old announcements, uncheck the currently displayed box and click update.
5. To permanently delete old announcements, click "Delete" next to that announcement. There is no confirmation screen.
6. To view your changes, click "View Website".
