This video explains how to add a schedule to your GOALLINE powered website.  Once you have added a season using the Manage Seasons tool, you need to add a schedule to your website.  Once you have a schedule added you are then ready to add games and practices into the system:
 
 
 
 
 
To create a schedule for all Leagues/Teams do the following:
  1. From the Master Menu select Scheduling Tab
  2. Select "Manage Schedules" -  *IF you are the main contact and this is greyed out you do not have permissions.  Please contact GoalLine support.
  3. Enter "Schedule Name" (The schedule name entered here will be prefixed with the name of the season it belongs to, when shown on the public side.)
  4. Select "Schedule Type" (please see the explanation of the schedule types below.)
  5. Check the League(s)/Team(s) the schedule should apply to.
  6. Set up the Display Settings, Points Awarded, Game Duration, Schedule Generator Information (only needed if using our Schedule Generator Option), and Security Options (Must enter a Start and End date, which can the season date range or date within your season.)
  7. Select Create Schedule(s)

 

Schedule Types:

  • Standings schedule - should be used if you are looking for normal schedule with standings, points awarded for wins, etc.
  • Playoff-brackets schedule - should be used if you are looking for a schedule where teams play a game or a series of games against each other to determine who moves on, like the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

To create a schedule one League/Team at a time, please do the following:
  1. From the Master Menu select the League/Team from the "Select a League Control Panel" or "Select a Team Control Panel".
  2. Select "Scheduling Tab".
  3. Select "Manage Schedules".
  4. The League/Team name and season should be listed at the top in bold.
  5. Enter "Schedule Name"
  6. Select "Schedule Type"
  7. Set up the Display Settings, Points Awarded, Game Duration, Schedule Generator Information (only needed if using our Schedule Generator Option), and Security Options (Start and End date should default to the season date range set up, but you can change the date if you wish)
  8. Select Create Schedule(s)

Note: If you check the box for "Make this the default for all of my new schedules" the values chosen will be pre-populated next time you use this form.

Once the new schedule(s) has been created you are then able to "Manage Schedules" one League/Team at time.

To do this please do the following:
  1. From the Master Menu select the League/Team from the "Select a League Control Panel" or "Select a Team Control Panel".
  2. Select "Scheduling Tab".
  3. Select "Edit Schedule Details" for the Schedule Name you wish to modify.
  4. You are able to edit the Schedule Name, Display Settings, Points Awarded, Game Duration, Schedule Generator Information, and Security Options.
  5. You can also edit the teams that should be playing within the schedule.  
  6. Select "Save Changes"
