How can a referee give an assignment back once it's accepted?
What can I do if I have run out of available officials for a game?
Can my referees pick up extra games?
Up For Grabs (UFG) is a game status that can be set by an assignor using Edit Referee Assignments.
Officials can place games UFG when logged in to their personal control panels in View Personal Assignments.
Games are claimed by officials in Confirm Pending Assignments.
When enabled, UFG applies to all positions in all leagues. UFG can be disabled for specific leagues by going to Referee Payrates and selecting Checking Disable Up For Grabs?. This will not allow anyone to place games UFG for that league, including the assignor. UFG cannot be disabled for specific positions or specific officials.
The UFG notifications can be disabled in the Referee Profile from the administrator's control panel. Officials can disable the UFG notifications when logged into their personal control panels in Update Account Information. Note: Disabling the notifications does not disable the feature.
When a Game is Placed UFG:
- An email will be sent to all officials who are qualified for the specific position in the league.
- Games are claimed on a first come, first served basis.
- Only qualified officials will see the games listed in Confirm Pending Assignments.
- If an official is already assigned to a game that would create a conflict, the game will be visible but there will be no claim button. Instead they will see "Availability Conflict"
- When an official places a game UFG, they can re-claim it (again on a first come first served basis).
- The RIC will be notified via email outlining the details of the game and which official placed it UFG.
- Both the RIC and the official who placed the game UFG will be notified via email when the game has been claimed. The RIC's email will indicate which official claimed the game.
