GOALLINE's Official Management system takes into account settings and preferences like league and position qualifications, venue preferences and availability. A new preference can be enabled to allow referees to indicate that they have a conflict with a specific team that they would otherwise be available to officiate.
This feature is ideal for officials who have family members or other personal ties to a specific team. If your official association has policies that define conflict of interest, consult those policies and update your conflicting teams accordingly. When using Edit Referee Assignments, this new preference will remove referees from the list of available officials when games involve the teams they have indicated are a conflict.
To enable the ability for referees to set their team specific conflicts:
- From the admin control panel, under Communication select "Site Configuration"
- Select Yes to enable "Referees set team conflicts"
- Click to "Save Configuration"
