Manage Webpages Tool

This video explains how to use the Manage Webpages tool in your GOALLINE powered website:

 

There may come a time when you feel the default tabs in the menu are just not enough.

1. You can add additional menu tabs (web pages) that suit your needs.
2. Web pages can be created in both the Master Menu and the Team/League Menus. 
3. Web Pages added through a team menu will appear as an additional tab in the team menu.
4. Creating a webpage is done through Communication Tools in either the Master Menu or the Team/League specific control panel.

Creating a Web Page

1. Go to Master Menu > Communication > Create Webpage.
2. Enter a title for the web page
3. The title will appear as the webpage's title when viewed in your browser.
4. The description box contains all of your page information. It will appear on the public side just as it appears in description box.
5. Choose the menu placement. If you have additional pages in the system, you can add subpages within them.
6. You can choose to password protect any pages you make yourself. When the field is blank, the page has no password. To activate password protection, enter a password into the field and click Save.
7. Click Save to publish your website.

Adding Links:

In the Description box type the text you would like the viewer to click to go to the link. Highlight the text and choose the link button. Add the web page to the URL field. If you would like the link to open in a new window choose the Target tab. Under the Target dropdown choose New Window (_blank). Click the Ok button.

Adding Files:

You can also add a document to a webpage in the form of a clickable hyperlink. This is a two step process.
The first step is uploading the file to the server. Please see instructions of how to Add-Edit-Delete File first. Once the file has been uploaded, in the Description box, type the text you would like the viewer to click to open the file.
Highlight the text and choose the link button. Under the Link Type dropdown choose Link to file uploaded to GOALLINE. Choose the file you want to link from the File Name to Link dropdown menu. Click the Ok button.

Adding Links to YouTube:

From within the Communication Tools group, select either Create Webpage or Edit-Delete Webpage. Click the flash "F" icon. Paste your Youtube URL in the Youtube link section (2nd open field) then click insert and OK.
