What are the overrides that can be used when assigning?
Why do I not have access to any overrides?
Note: Not all website administrators have access to any or all assigning overrides. If a website administrator is not able to grant access to overrides, contact GOALLINE for more information.
Types of Overrides
- Availability Override - When a referee has not set themselves as available for a specific date and time, availability override will allow the assignor to select that referee anyway. The available officials will be listed as usual, then below the "Override" line, referees who are not available will display.
- Venue Preference Override - When referees have set a venue as "not acceptable" they will not show in your list of available officials when editing referee assignments. Overriding venue preferences will display those referees who have indicated that the venue in question is not acceptable below the "Override" line when selecting your referees.
- Referee Level Override - Each referee profile has been set with the specific referee's qualifications for each position. If a referee is not qualified to referee a specific position for a certain league, Referee Level Override will display the referee below the "Override" line when selecting your referees.
- Master Override - System preferences that are set by the referees (availability and venue preference) and by the administrator (maximum games per day, wait times, etc.) can be overridden by the Master Override. Using the master override will allow you to assign officials outside of the normal preferences. It is possible to assign a conflict using the master override. This feature is used most often to allow a referee to be assigned to back to back games (both games must be assigned at the same time) when the system preferences are set to avoid that, or to assign a position that your referees may not have qualifications set (mentor or supervisor, for example).
