GOALLINE's Advanced Official system is more than just a tool to assign your officials to games! Track official's progress using our built in evaluation tools. When creating or editing your officials, you decide which officials are able to submit evaluations and, you're kept informed each time evaluations are submitted.

Evaluation forms, by default, include some generic scaled questions and space to add comments regarding strengths, weaknesses and general comments. Custom evaluation reports are available. Please contact our support team or your sales representative regarding custom developments.

To give a referee the ability to submit evaluations:

  1. Use Find Referes to locate the referee profile.
  2. Edit the profile
  3. Check the box to "Give referee ability to submit evaluations."
  4. Save Changes.
  5. Alternatively, if you are importing officials, a column in your CSV file can be "Submits Evaluations?" and a Y or Yes in the column will enable this permission for the specified referees.

How to submit an evaluation:

  1. Referees must log in to their referee control panel to submit an evaluation.
  2. Select the Submit Evaluation link from the left menu.
  3. Complete all sections of the game specific information.
  4. Answer the scaled questions as appropriate and enter comments in the comment areas.
  5. Click Submit Evaluation.
  6. A review screen will display where the referee has the opportunity to review the information entered.
  7. If changes are required, click back on the browser and make the necessary changes.
  8. If no changes are required, click to confirm and submit the evaluation.
  9. Administrators can submit a referee evaluation from the admin control panel if they have the referee in chief designation.

What Happens to Evaluations?

  1. Unless otherwise customized, the evaluation is emailed to the referee being evaluated, the referee whi submitted the evaluation and any website administrator indicated as a referee in chief for the organization.
  2. An evaluation report is available for website administrators to view.
  3. Evaluations are available to the referee who was evaluated or who submitted the evaluation in their personal referee control panel to view.

Can the default behaviour be changed?

  1. If desired, the evaluation can be customized so that the referee being evaluated is not emailed a copy of the evaluation upon the initial submission.
  2. A publishing step can be enabled where a referee in chief can review the evaluation, make any required changes and then submit for the evaluated referee to be emailed their copy.
  3. Additional email addresses can be added to the distribution list when the evaluation is emailed.
