How Can I Import/Upload French Characters?

GOALLINE's import and upload features use CSV formatted files. These files are sensitive to special characters like French accents. To prepare your CSV file for import/upload when it contains special characters, follow these steps:

1. Complete your spreadsheet as usual to ensure all content is there
2. Save the file as usual as a CSV file
3. Close the file
4. Using your file manager, open the file in notepad (or other rich text program)
5. Immediately select to Save As
6. Remove the ".txt" portion of the file name
7. Add ".csv" to the end of the file name
8. Locate the "encoding" options (this is usually a drop down located below the file name)
9. Select the encoding option UTF-8
10. Click Save.
11. Import/Upload your CSV file
